Confederate Cemetery in Marietta, GA

Went to the Confederate Cemetery in Marietta, GA.  It's not very well taken care of.  These are the images.

Several of these benches are located throughout the Cemetery, the books tell a story or has a poem.

On the Road again!

Left Chickamauga NMP last Monday morning to take the RV to Camping World to get the steering checked.  Dropped it off then went to the store to get a campsite, They called us to tell us they can't do the work required.  So we pick up the RV, take it to the campground and plug it in and go get breakfast.  When we get back we find there has been a power surge and it blew the fridge, microwave oven, washer/dryer, the central vac system, the converter and the A/C, along with every DC cord connected to an outlet.  Yes, I had a surge protector on the RV but it did not help.  Well thanks to the people at camping world we are getting everything fixed or replaced.  Still waiting on parts for A/C and microwave oven, got everything else taken care of.
Left Chattanooga three days later than planned and went to Altoona Lake for a few days to try and salvage some of our Vacation . When we got to the Lake the people at the desk told us we would not like our campsite???  The campsite is just fine, located by it self, long level drive and shaded.  The only thing we can think of is that its not close to another site, but that suits us fine.  It's hot here, in low 90's, but nice breeze off the lake helps.
Here are a few pictures taken around the lake.

These beautiful wild Hibiscus are all along the shore of the lake and only open of a morning.

View of the Lake from our campsite.

They have the fattest Squirrels here.

Mushrooms every place.

This tree is next to our site, I call it Capt. Hook.

Rabbits everyplace, there must not be any natural predators here.

A little dragon fly after the nectar.

Good bye Chickamauga NMP

Well we finished our last day at Chickamauga Battlefield and was going to head to Altoona Lake for a couple of weeks.  Stopped at the Chattanooga Camping world to get a steering issue fixed on the motorhome and had a power issue that blew out our Fridge, A/C, Microwave, Washer/Dryer and central Vac systems, what luck.  So we are still here trying to get everything fixed.
Here are a few pictures from our last week here.

This was a great side dish.

It took me all day to get this shot, it was the last firing of the day.  The weather cleared and you could see for miles  from the top of Lookout Mountain.
