Vacation Time

After 18 months of volunteering without a break, Teresa said "it's time for a vacation John, we are retired".  So we are traveling around Florida for a while, hoping the weather will start to warm up soon.    We stopped at Wakulla Springs, what a great place.  Lots of birds, gators, manatees, turtles, and a very, very good boat ride to see the Springs.  It put out about 4000 gallons of water a minute.  It had been explored 36 miles under water so far.  Next stop was Stephen Foster CC State Park.  Excellent campground, quiet, very large sites.  The Tower bells here ring out all day but is pleasing to hear.  Park is located on the Suwanee River.  Had lunch at the only restaurant in town called Fat Bellys located in  White Spring.  Hope you like fried food!  Went to Olustee Battlefield, very small battle here in Florida. On the way we came across a neat little campground called Ocean Pond, located in a National Forest.  Also went to Ichetuchnee Spring State Park.
